All this pain and suffering
in a world that never stops,
spinning out of control,
always forgetting to breathe.
How will they see the light,
if they surround themselves in darkness.
Looking outward for the answer,
constantly fighting with their minds.
We’re taught to strive for greatness,
yet what’s the measure of success?
Achievement is followed by dissatisfcation,
since more is always better.
More money, more fame,
even if accompanied by more pain.
Suck it up.
Put on a brave face.
Cry on the inside,
this is the way.
So long as you produce,
there won’t be a problem,
until the misery becomes too much,
and you discover another way.
Another way to live life,
not centered around expectation.
Take a moment to breath,
and you’ll experience freedom.
